Those attending the 6.00pm Mass on Saturday are also invited to join us for the celebration for all parishioners in the Hall following the 11.00am Mass on Sunday. Happy Patrons Feast to all and our guests. Thank you for coming.

X REQUIEM MASSES FOR RECENTLY DECEASED - Both were a regular Mass goer in this parish, your presence will be a great testimony to their faith, lived and shared in our parish. Thank you.

Those wishing to receive a blessing are asked to approach the priest with their arms crossed over their chess. Those receiving Holy Communion in your hands please put it in your mouth before leaving the minister/priest.

X THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY! - Our parish relies on donations from parishioners to help cover the running costs. We thank you for your generosity.

Did you know you can donate via bank standing order? This is a quick and easy way to donate, rather than needing to find cash on a weekly basis.

The parish bank details are:

Account Name: RCAS Folkestone

Account Number: 08605556

Sort Code: 52-41-42

Please use your name as your reference. If you are registered for gift aid in this parish, please add your envelope number alongside your name ie '01 Smith'.

If choosing to pay via bank standing order, there is no need to do this on a weekly basis (unless you wish to do so). You can consolidate your weekly donations into a single monthly donation i.e. £10 per week would be a £40 monthly donation.

Not currently registered for gift aid in this parish but you pay tax in the UK?

Please consider registering for the scheme. Sign-up sheets are at the back of the church and once complete, post through the door of the presbytery. A box of envelopes will be left for you at the back of the church over the following couple of weeks with your name on it. Alternatively, you can start paying via bank standing order as above.

To put your mind at rest, this does not cost you, the donor, any more. It allows the parish to claim an additional 25% from the government on top of your donation.

With grateful thanks, your parish finance committee.

X QUEEN OF HEAVEN (LATINREGINA CAELI) – this is said throughout Eastertide from Easter Sunday through Pentecost to the seventh Sunday after Easter. The Regina caeli is also said in place of the Angelus during Eastertide.

Queen of Heaven

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia

Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.  Amen.

WE FLY TO THY PROTECTION

We fly to Thy protection, O Holy Mother of God.

Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers,

O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

THE MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence I fly to you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the word incarnate, despise not my petition, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

PRAYER TO ST JOSEPH

Remember, O most pure spouse of Mary, and my dearly beloved guardian, St Joseph, that never was it known, that anyone who invoked your care and requested your help was left without consolation. Inspired with confidence, I come to you, and with all the ardor of my spirit I commend myself to you. Do not reject my prayer. O Foster Father of my Savior, but graciously receive and answer it. Amen.

PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
