X BEREAVEMENT AND REMEMBRANCE GROUP - The next two meetings of the Bereavement and Remembrance Group are on Saturday 24 June and 22 July at 1.00 pm in Our Lady’s Church Hall. 

X CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY CLUB

Dear Parents,

you will be delighted to know that the Holiday Club will take place again this year at St. Joseph's. Starting Tuesday, August 1st from 10am - 4pm, there will be lots of activities, fun and games for Children aged 5yrs -14yrs. Application forms are available at the back of the church. X OUR LIVE WEB STREAMING IS MOVING - from Saturday 1st July we will be switching to a new local site for our online streaming website of Masses at Our Lady, Help of Christians and St Aloysius. The new website address is www.kentchurches.com/churches/olhc/. 

Can we please encourage you to share this news with anybody you know who relies on our online streaming of Mass in our parish. 

X FORTHCOMING SECOND COLLECTIONS

X OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS & ST ALOYIOUS WITH ST JOSEPH'S FLOWER FESTIVAL  ON 1ST TO 6TH JULY 2023   -                          Our Church will be beautifully decorated that week with flowers honouring God and the Saints. It will be spectacular! Everyone can play a part, even if you do not know about flower arranging. There are envelopes for donation if you would like to sponsor your favourite Saint. Would you like to spend an hour or two in Church during that week to keep an eye on the visitors? If so, please put your name down on the list at the back of the Church. Also, in a message from the organising committee: 

Dear Parishioners, we need copious amounts of greenery to help with the Flower Festival displays. If you have any greenery in your garden, we would love you to donate as much as possible, it would be really appreciated!

 

Please leave your offerings at the back of the church from Weds 28th June - Fri 30th June. Buckets will be provided. Thank You so much. 

X FLOWER FESTIVAL PLOUGHMAN’S LUNCH – Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 12.45pm to 2.30pm.  Tickets are priced £5.00 and available from Anne Berry or Margaret Irving. 

X HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION REMINDER – on Thursday 29th June is the solemnity of St Peter and St Paul and a Holy Day of Obligation. Extra Masses, including an evening Mass, will be available on this day. 

X RACIAL JUSTICE IN THE CHURCH -Walking together, praying together, and working together Webinar: 11 July 2.00pm to 3.30pm.  A webinar will be held this summer to build upon the work which has taken place around Racial Justice Sunday in recent years, and is open to anyone who wishes to discover more about racial justice in the Church. Participants will be encouraged to learn from one another, and to share their own experiences and initiatives. 

As part of this, two projects which have received favourable attention in the national media will be shared: the Image and Likeness of God initiative which celebrates images of Our Lady and the Child Jesus from a range of countries and cultures; and the Walking Together, Praying Together, and Working Together project, which reflects on the role that each of us has to play in promoting the mission of Christ and His Church.

X THIS WEEK’S SECOND COLLECTION IS FOR DAY FOR LIFE.  This funds the Anscombe Bioethics Centre and towards assisting life related activities supported by the church.
