X FINAL CALL FOR THE PARISH CHILDREN'S SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB - You will be delighted to know that the Holiday Club will take place again this year at St. Joseph's. Starting Tuesday, August 1st from 10am - 4pm, there will be lots of activities, fun and games for Children aged 5yrs -14yrs. Application forms are available at the back of the church. Please return the completed form to the Parish Office at Our Lady's Church.

X FIRST RECONCILLIATION, FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION FORMS are now available at the back of the church. Closing date for Registration is 23rd September 2023. 

X ADULTS WANTING TO JOIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH – Forms are also now available for adults who are thinking about Confirmation, Reception, Baptism and Full Communion with the Catholic Church. 

X CAKE SALE AFTER SUNDAY MASS TODAY (16TH JULY)  - There will be a cake sale after the 9.00am and 11.00am Masses. All cakes have been made by Stella Maris Catholic Primary School children & their parents.

X THE SICK - We remember all those who are sick and housebound and that they remain in our prayers including Sheelagh (Mary) Crowther, Beulah Blomfield, Michael Shields and Veronica Poulton.  

X CANTERBURY GREGORIAN MUSIC SOCIETY is holding an afternoon of Gregorian chant at Minster Abbey on Saturday 22nd July starting at 2.00pm for a 2.30pm start. 

The event will loo at the life of St Alphege and learn some chant connected to him. There will be afternoon tea oin the café and then a session with Mother Nikola to learn some of the chant for Vespers. You are then invited to join the nuns to sing Vespers at 6.00pm.

X WEDNESDAY COFFE MORNINGS AFTER MASS Please note that there will be no refreshments in the hall after the 10.00am Mass on a Wednesday throughout August. Next week, will be the last week that Kathleen Lynch serves us with tea and coffee, and supplies the most wonderful cakes and scones. We are very grateful to Kathleen for her dedication on a Wednesday morning, and we will miss her … and her cakes very much. Thank you Kathleen. 

From the beginning of September we are planning to draw up a rota of people willing to serve tea/coffee and biscuits on a Wednesday morning after Mass. All supplies are provided, please contact Monica on 07870 911057 or email monaherne@gmail.com.

X PROMOTING RACIAL AND CULTURAL INCLUSION IN OUR PARISHES, SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES - This seminar will take place at the Amigo Hall, St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, from 9.30am to 4.00pm on Saturday 28 October 2023. You are all welcomed to this archdiocesan initiative by the Commission for Promoting Racial and Cultural Inclusion chaired by Canon Victor Darlington, Episcopal Vicar for the Southeast. On the day there will be contributions from a range of speakers, including the Most Reverend John Wilson, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Southwark.
