X DAY FOR LIFE FUND

“This Trinity Sunday, the Church in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, jointly marks the Day for Life, as a reminder of the need to respect and protect the inherent value and dignity of each life. All of you are invited to join us in prayer and promotion of the Day. Useful resources, including a message from the three bishops, and more prayers, can be found on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales’ website. The second collection today goes toward the Day for Life Fund. Every year, the fund allocates over £200,000 in grants, to organisations that which promote the Christian respect for life from conception to natural death, in various ways. This has made a significant impact in local communities of England and Wales, by for example, providing mothers and children with necessary means. This is possible only because of your generous support to the fund, we therefore invite you to give as much as you can and encourage others to do so. You can also donate by scanning the QR code on the Day for Life 2025 poster in our church, or online via the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales’ website, where you will find out more on the Fund.”

X REFLECTION ON AND FOR PARISH FURTHER GROWTH - As we celebrate the coming down of the Holy Spirit which marked the birth of the Church, I would like to collect some thoughts, realistic proposals, ideas and projects from parishioners who which to contribute to the further growth of our parish in light of her mission. The reflection should cover from the time the two parishes became ONE. There is a questionnaire available for you to fill and return to me via the presbytery’s letter box. The starting point is that you need to inform yourself first by finding out about what is happening in the parish every week to avoid any repetition or the mistake of stating something that is being done already but you are not aware of, what are the projects and plans that are there but did not start because of the lack of volunteers to lead them.  Learn about the role of each parish Committee, the existence of Children liturgy, the altar servers, children’s summer club. Do you know that an attempt had been made several times to set up a youth group? Recruitment of Catechists and volunteers to organise youth group? How can things be improved? Please, fill the questionnaire and return the response by 21nd June 25. Thank you.
