X RECEPTION OF HOLY COMMUNION DURING MASS – Only Catholics in state of grace receive communion
during Mass. The priest/minister raises the host slightly and shows it to each
of the communicants, saying The Body of
Christ; Response: Amen.
Those Christians who are not in full communion with the Catholic Church and Roman Catholics not able to receive Holy Communion are welcome to receive a blessing. Those wishing to receive a blessing are asked to approach the priest with their arms crossed over their chest. Those receiving Holy Communion in your hands please put it in your mouth before leaving the minister/priest.

X HOW TO FILL OUT MASS INTENTION ENVELOPES – When you complete the envelope asking for a Mass to be said, please write the full name of the person after Intention of Mass for e.g. George Smith RIP, even if he is one of your parents, relatives and friends, do not write for my Dad, Mum, brother, girlfriend, boyfriend and so forth. Likewise, if the Mass is for several people e.g., do write down: for the deceased members of the Smith family, or for the wellbeing of the members of the Smith family and so forth. Thank you for your help with this simple and important matter.

X FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION CARDS/GIFTS – a wide selection of First Holy Communion and Confirmation cards and gifts are now available from the Parish Gift Shop.
X INFANT BAPTISM – May only happen after undergoing a preparation with the parish priest. Baptisms can then be celebrated at either 3pm on a Saturday or 1pm on a Sunday on the 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month. Please note the preparation for infant Baptism will take place every second Sunday of the month in the Hall at 13h (1.00pm).

X PARISH AUCTION – There will be an auction of paintings, artwork and collectibles in the Parish Hall. On Saturday 9th May 2026 doors open at 12:30pm for viewing and auction starts at 2:30pm.
In addition to the live auction, there will be opportunities for a silent auction, where bids can be placed in advance, or on the day. A catalogue will be available with envelopes for the silent auction at the back of the Church.
Homemade scones and cream tea will be
available during the auction.

X THE
CELEBRATION OF THE PARISH PATRON SAINTS WILL BE NEXT SUNDAY 3rd MAY
2026 AT 11AM - Four
years ago, reflecting on the celebrations to mark the parish patron saints, the
members of the Liturgy Committee discussed and agreed that the best day for
these celebrations is the first Sunday of May because the feasts of two of the
three patrons fall in May, so the third one in June was also brought to May.
Therefore, since 2022, the parish celebrates a Mass on a First Sunday in May at
11am to bring all the parishioners from the three Sunday Masses into one. This year’s celebration of the parish patron saints will
take place on Sunday 3rd May 2026 at 11am in the Church.
Please note that this Mass is to bring all of us together, therefore there will be only two Masses in the parish to fulfil the Sunday Obligation. Saturday at 6.00pm and Sunday at 11.00am that will be followed by a time of celebration in the Hall where all our parishioners are encouraged to come along. Those attending the 6.00pm Mass on Saturday are also invited to join us for the celebration for all parishioners in the Hall following the 11.00am Mass on Sunday.
X QUEEN OF HEAVEN (LATIN: REGINA CAELI) – this is said throughout Eastertide from Easter Sunday through Pentecost to the seventh Sunday after Easter.
The Regina caeli is also said in place of the Angelus during Eastertide.
