X RECEPTION OF HOLY COMMUNION DURING MASS – Only Catholics in state of grace receive communion
during Mass. The priest/minister raises the host slightly and shows it to each
of the communicants, saying The Body of Christ; Response: Amen.
Those Christians who are not in full communion with the Catholic Church and Roman Catholics not able to receive Holy Communion are welcome to receive a blessing. Those wishing to receive a blessing are asked to approach the priest with their arms crossed over their chess. Those receiving Holy Communion in your hands please put it in your mouth before leaving the minister/priest.

X OUR PARISH
PLANNED GIVING & STEWARDSHIP DRIVES’ RESULTS -The
last three weekends, the above has taken place in our parish. I wish to thank
all the members of Our Parish Finance and Properties Committee for putting all
these three weekends’ materials together with the assistance of Sancia Da Costa
from Finance and Properties’ Department of the Archdiocese of Southwark.
My heartfelt gratitude to all who delivered the
message and distributed the materials, all who have taken active part and taken
the forms “My Parish Commitment” home/away for filling and consideration. Thank
you very much.
The next two weeks, I invite the people who
have taken the forms home for filling to return them to the parish letter box,
so that we can evaluate the result. Anyone who wasn’t here the last three
weekends is also encouraged to collect the form and consider it. Thank you in
advance.
It has been brought to my attention that an item under expenditure ‘Other Parish Expenses-incl. Sundry, Music’ has been singled out and negatively commented upon. I can assure you that, the single item in question did not cost the parish £30, 800, there are more than two items under that title. In some parishes, musicians are paid, this is not the case for our parish, and I thank our two parishioners who provide music for our Masses for their generosity. The truth is that as a parish our expenditure is higher than our income, it could have been higher if we have paid musicians, the higher expenditure is the reality each one of us is called to work towards. Your parish needs your Time, Talents, and Treasure, please reflect and consider what you can do to help or how you can improve what you are doing already. Thank you for giving back to God what he has given you for His Greater Glory.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.
WE FLY TO THY PROTECTION
We
fly to Thy protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do
not despise our petitions in our necessities, but
deliver us always from all dangers,
O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
