To book a place please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church or contact Cecilia Grace on 01303 250230.
X PARISH CHRISTMAS DINNER: This will take place on Sunday 10th December at 1.00pm in the OLHoC Hall. There will be a three-course dinner and a raffle. Soft drinks will be available but please bring your own wine/beer. Cost is £15 per person and you will need a ticket.
To get your tickets, please ring Sara Adams on 07864 581191 and leave your name and contact number. Places will be limited to 50 so please book early to avoid disappointment.
X KEEPING OUR HALLS CLEAN - Due to the high use of our halls, we are looking for someone to spend two hour a week in each hall to clean them. It would suit someone who is retired but active and the hours are 2 hours per week at St Jo’s hall and 2 hours at OLHoC’s hall. If you’re interested, any professionals please contact Joe on 07799657031. Thank you.
X FOLKESTONE WINTER SHELTER - The winter shelter offers accommodation, support and home-cooked food to homeless people from December 1st until the end of March. We need volunteers to help with cooking, befriending, and driving. Our church leads the provision on Wednesdays but volunteering can be flexible and training is provided. If you are able to help, or would like to find out more, please contact Judy Doherty on judy.doherty59@gmail.com
X FOLKESTONE WINTER NIGHT SHELTER DEDICATION SERVICE – This will be held next Saturday, November 25th at 6.00pm at St Paul’s Church in Sandgate. To give thanks for all the staff and volunteers, pray for the running of the shelter, and most importantly pray it will be a life changing moment for those who will use the shelter this Winter.
X COLLECTIONS – provisional figures for last week’s collections are the first collection raised £562.63. The second for Archbishop’s Appeal raised £278.14. The previous week’s collection, for Sunday 5 November, not published last week, raised £660.67
Thank you for your generosity.
