This week’s morning Mass on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be at St Joseph’s. Also, there will be no Mass on Monday 6th September, in the following week. X DIOCESAN VACANCY AT ST GEORGE’S CATHEDRAL, LONDON SITE MAINTENANCE AND CARETAKER - We are looking for an experienced person to join our site maintenance and caretaking team based at the Cathedral site in London SE1, which includes residential and office accommodation, as well as public access spaces and a car park. X LET THE CHURCH LIGHT UP TO THE GLORY OF GOD – this week we have begun to install the new lights. There will be 38 new flood lights in the church. They are significantly brighter than those that we had previously and feature a warm day glow feature as well as being able to be changed to over three million different variations of colour. They are LED and switch on immediately and use considerably less electricity than our old lights and are therefore much more eco-friendly and cost effective.

X OUR LADY & ST JOSEPH’S 100 CLUB SUMMER DRAW! – The next draw will be after the 11.00am Mass on Sunday 29th August and new members are very welcome! Get your application in before the draw to be included in the draw using the forms at the back of the church.

X JOB VACANCY AT THE RAINBOW CENTRE – SHEPWAY FOODBANK MANAGER (Salary: £19,200 per annum for a 30-hour week excluding lunch breaks). The post holder will manage the Warehouse Coordinator and volunteers at both the Warehouse and the Food Distribution Centres in Folkestone, New Romney and Lydd providing a seamless operation between the two service strands. The Manager will build the service and work with the CEO and Trustees to strategically plan and develop new provision to enhance our offer to our clients. X SEASON OF CREATION: “A HOME FOR ALL? RENEWING THE OIKOS OF GOD” - European Church leaders invite Christians to observe the Season of Creation and to pray for the climate conferences taking place this autumn. In a joint statement from Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco CCEE President and Rev. Christian Krieger CEC President, the leaders said:

“We invite all Christians in the churches of Europe, parishes, church communities and every person of good will to observe and celebrate the Season of Creation from 1st September to 4th October in with an ecumenical spirit, united in prayer and action. Furthermore, we invite everyone to pray for the major international events of this autumn – the UN Summit on Biodiversity and COP 26 – so that these events may take the necessary steps that the climate emergency requires.”
