PRAYER FOR BENEDICT XVI
O God, faithful rewarder of souls,
grant that your departed servant Pope Benedict,
whom you made successor of Peter
and shepherd of your Church,
may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven
the mysteries of your grace and compassion,
which he faithfully ministered on earth.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever
and ever.
Amen.
Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
Amen.
X PLEASE PRAY FOR THE REPOSE OF THE SOULS of Pope Benedict XVI and Ann Rachel Fitzgerald-Clark, who died recently and for all those whose anniversaries fall at this time, including amongst them: Jose Almeida, Agnes Halloran, Kenneth Moss, Agnes French (8th January); Shirley Hart, Robert Hart, Madeleine Cave (9th Jan.); Mary Call, Arthur Roberts, Julia Mason, Kathleen Kelaart (10th Jan.); Angela Cavallari, Marie-Rose Reeve (12th Jan.); Francis Wilkie, Lucy Bennett (13th Jan.); Nora Taylor, Nelly Cachero (14th Jan.); Norman Sharp, Martha Price, Coralie Estridge, Helena Kelly (15th Jan.).
X STAMPS FOR THE BLIND – as we clear away our Christmas cards and decorations, please don’t throw any old stamps away. Bring them to church and place them in the box on the cabinet at the rear of the church, as this will help raise money to hep the blind. Please do not deposit any damaged or torn stamps. Thank you.
X LATEST CATHOLIC HERALD Ois
available for purchase from the shop or at the back of the church and then
placing your money in the box above the Holy Water stoop marked ‘newspapers’.
