X PARISH DAY WITH OUR LADY OF LOURDESI wish to thank the Liturgy Committee, the choir, the Pastoral and Social Care Committee for their contributions which enable our parishioners and visitors to enjoy our Pilgrimage Day with Our Lady of Lourdes.

People told me that they were in heaven, it was a spirit filled experience and so forth. On your behalf, I also wish to thank Folkestone and Hythe District Council for allowing us to have free parking until 3.00pm on the day. Surely, Our Lady of Lourdes did smile at you all as she has seen us answering her invitation to us through St Bernadette Soubirous to prayer, penance and conversion. May this experience enrich our Lenten journey that will start on Wednesday – thank you to all.

X UCM LUNCH at the Vault Sandgate this Tuesday, 21st February at 12:30pm (sit down). Meet at Folkestone bus station for 11:50 am. Any problems ring Liz or Cecilia.

X NEXT WEEK’S SECOND COLLECTION IS FOR THE CLERGY SUPPORT FUNDThe Clergy Support Fund of the Archdiocese of Southwark provides care for priests in their old age and retirement, and in their time of ill health. A gift to this worthy fund will ensure a dignified retirement for our priests, after they have dedicated a lifetime of service to Christ, His Church and His People.

In 2022, the Clergy Support Fund provided care to 73 retired priests, at a cost of £1,33 million. With the number of priests over the age of 65 steadily increasing, so too will the financial obligation to the Archdiocese. Please be generous today with a gift to the Clergy Support Fund and continue to keep our priests in your prayers.

Thank you!
