SPONSORED RIDE & STRIDE 2023 will take place
this year on Saturday 9th September. Our Lady Help of Christians will be open
to receive and welcome walkers/cyclists and if you are able to help steward
this event please put your name down on the sheet at the back of the church.
Also needed are cyclists and walkers happy to get sponsorship – half the money
raised goes to Friends of Kent Churches and half to your nominated Parish. It
is an interesting/fun way to get to visit other churches in the area. A sponsor
form will be available at the back of the church for people to sponsor those
participating either as stewards or cyclists/walkers.
As St Joseph’s
is not currently open, a form for walkers/cyclists to sign to say they have
stopped there will be stuck to the door of the Hall in Narrabeen Road.

WE FLY TO THY PROTECTION
We
fly to Thy protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our petitions in
our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O
Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the
devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of
God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world
for the ruin of souls. Amen.
