X FIRST HOLY COMMUNION – congratulations to Anthony, Victor, Darcey, Abigail, Rachel, Otto, Ava, Eddison, Finlay, Jude, Alex, Emerald, Bella-Lavinia, Ellie, Caitlyn, Bel, Tammy, George, Daniella and Eoin who made their First Holy Communion last Sunday in a special celebration Mass with family, friends and relatives at Our Lady, Help of Christians.  This weekend they will collect their certificates at their churches where they normally attend Mass, either at St Joseph’s or Our Lady, Help of Christians.

On Sunday 25th July at 11.00am, there will be a First Holy Communion celebration Mass with three more children of the Parish. Please pray for Oliver, Jack and Hannah as they prepare themselves to receive the Holy Eucharist, what Pope Francis has called, ‘the Sacrament of Love’ into their hearts.

Remember in a very special way, Jucia and her family in your prayers, as she cannot celebrate her First Holy Communion due to a bereavement in her family. May the Lord of life, peace and joy be with them all.

X PLEASE PRAY FOR Agata Borza, who is sick in the William Harvey Hospital at this time.

X PLEASE PRAY FOR THE REPOSE OF THE SOULS of the relatives and friends of our parishioners who have died recently, including Gabriel Mbangu and Emmanuel Nwanko, father of Caroline Nwanko, who died last Saturday in Lagos, Nigeria and all those whose anniversaries fall at this time, including amongst them: Irene Joanes, Clifford Moore, Francis Ciantar, Edmund Szmelter, Albert Bowes (18th July); Ana Painter, Wileen McKenna, Jean McFall, Molly Collins, Marie Snyers d’Attenhoven (19th July); Mary Webb, Wing Cmdr Michael Hills, Graeme Alleyne (20th July); Elizabeth Burke, Leonard Gurney, Mary Smith (21st July); Amy McRoberts, Ann Powell, Alfred Mills (22nd July); Joan Bowes, Dennis Kindred, Veronica Sprinks, Eric Croft (23rd July); Maria Snelling, Margaret Sadler, Matilda Strang (24th July); John Doyle, Violet Constantine (25th July)

X  COVID GUIDELINES FOR OUR PARISH CHURCHES FOR MASS

1.    Please take personal responsibility when visiting the church for using the Trace and Trace QR CODE.

2.    Use HAND SANITISER on ENTERING and EXITING church.

3.    Wear FACE COVERINGS (unless exempt) when in church.

4.    Keep doors OPEN if possible.

5.    Keep a 1 METRE safe distance.

6.    Congregational singing is not permitted at this time. Please hum or sing in your head at Sunday Mass.

From Monday 19th July, we would request that you continue to use the hand sanitiser provided and to wear your facemasks in church.

You are no longer required to social distance in church, however we will be introducing a system of laminated cards, which will be cleaned after each Mass, which can be used to create social distancing for parishioners or groups of parishioners, to indicate that they do not want anybody to sit next to them by placing the card on the pew next to where they are sitting. Please respect those who are using the cards and do not remove them.

Full details about how Sunday Mass will be organised from Sunday 25th July will be published in next week’s newsletter.

WE FLY TO THY PROTECTION –

We fly to Thy protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL –

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.  Amen.
