Our parish will mark our annual celebration of our Lady of Lourdes, World Day of Prayer for the Sick with:
10.00 am Rosary
followed by
Mass with the anointing of
the sick
11.00 am Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for adoration, during which the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available for all those who wish to go to confession.
12.00 noon Celebration of the Stations of the Cross
2.00 pm Fr Garry will share his missionary
experience in Liberia with us. This year marks his 50th anniversary as a priest.
Fr Garry will then be preaching at all the Weekend Masses of 11th/12th February.
X CHURCHES TOGETHER FOLKESTONE JOINT SERVICE is tonight, Sunday 29th January at South Kent Community Church, The Cornerstone Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone CT20 2QR (by Folkestone Central station) at 6.00pm. As always in Folkestone, it’s a privilege to meet together, worship together and hear God’s word.

X COLLECTION – a total of £770.91 was raised at last week’s cash collection.
In addition, the second collection for the Building Fund raised £412.12 and the coffee mornings raised £125.33, which makes £307.83 so far this year across all our coffee morning activity. Thank you for your generosity.
X PARISH SECRETARY LEAVING AND NEW BEGINNINGS – Dylan will officially be leaving the post of our Parish Secretary this Friday, 3rd February. Don’t worry, you will still see him about the parish volunteering with some administration and general tasks. Dylan has agreed to continue and will help out in the office, along with the Sara Adams, until a new person is in post.
The Parish Secretary vacancy is for 4 hours per day, 10.00am to 2.00pm, on Monday and Friday (pay is currently NMW of £9.50 per hour). If you are interested and want to know more, please talk to Fr Alex.

· Buildings & Maintenance (Parish Estate) Management.
We are currently looking for additional willing Parishioner Volunteers to join each of the above Teams. By bringing ideas, knowledge and experience or just pure enthusiasm, we have a much better prospect of raising and managing desperately needed funds and completing the required works our Parish Churches and Buildings require over the coming months and years.

X SVP CELEBRATION MASS The 1st inaugural meeting was held on 19th January 1993 so this year is the 30th Anniversary of the Parish SVP. The Conference was started after a Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes and John Wrigley was the first Conference President. We remember past members and friends. Please join us in the hall after the 11.00am Sunday Mass this Sunday. 29th January, for tea and cake to celebrate.
