Anyone who is sick or housebound, or of you know of anyone who is in this category, are encouraged to contact the Parish Office with their details and their Pastoral Care will be organised.
For GDPR reasons, the Parish has
a policy of only accepting requests that come in from the person concerned or

from the person concerned for such requests to be considered. Thank you for
your understanding and cooperation.
X MAY THE MONTH THAT WAS – a lot happened in our Parish during the month of May which I wish to mention and in so doing, say a special Thank You to all our parishioners for taking part.
We began the month of May with the celebration of our two patron saints, Our Lady and St Joseph. All the parish committees were involved in the preparation, and let us not forget the many others, who also helped, with trips, meetings, phone calls, negotiations and more that took place to make it happen. Overall, it was a job well done and Stella Maris’ field was ready in good time for the celebration that took place on 1st May 2022, which was also the first Sunday of May. On this day, our Parish shone as one, the parishioners from both churches were brought together with the approval of our Heavenly Father who granted us lovely weather for it.
I wish to thank all the committees for their hard work before and on the day. My thanks also goes to all the parishioners who played their part by accepting to help with the security, the welcome, the singing, the prayers and so forth. On your behalf I had expressed your gratitude to the Togolese coomunity’s participation when I had the monthly Chaplaincy Mass with them on 22nd May 2022. And I also wanted to say a very special thank you to Stella Maris Catholic Primary School for hosting it, and to the school’s PTA for offering hot drinks to welcome people as they arrived. It was friendly and enjoyable opportunity and it is no wonder, that people are already asking for a repeat of it.
Due to all that is required for such a celebration to take place, I am currently sticking to my plan of holding such a celebration event only being held once a year. Hence, I invite you to book yourself in for next year’s celebration, spread the word and make sure you save the date in your diary of Sunday 7th May 2023 at 11.00am.
This wonderful Parish celebration led us into other events that took place during the month of May, such as the First Holy Communion celebration on Sunday 22nd May 2022, here again we thank the candidates, their parents and catechists for allowing us to have such a celebration. We also thank the UCM for organising the reception afterwards in the hall.
The parish’s UCM went on to carry the flag of the Parish at the Diocesan UCM Annual Pilgrimage to Aylesford and this brought the month of Mary to a close with the Feast of the Visitation of Mary on 31st May 2022.
Straightaway,
the celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee fell upon us and as a
Parish, we marked it with a film of the Coronation on Thursday together with a
cream tea and crown making competition, and then a special lunch on the Sunday.
Thank you to everybody who took part in organising and supporting these two
events and may we continue to learn how to exist as one parish. Congratulations
and thank you to you all.
Fr Alex Saba
X UCM PILGRIMAGE TO AYLESFORD – the Parish’s branch of the UCM recently took part in
